In process of building a 33' wide X 24' deep garage and workshop with a divider wall. Shop will be approx 8' wide by 24' deep. I do more wood work then mechanical repair.
How do I paint a floor without worry concerning paint lift off the floor, because of hot tires when parked after a drive?
My son used a two step epoxy from Sherwin Williams, for his garage, but even that after many parks...began to lift off the floor.
When you built your garage...did you use Engineered Roof Trusses. Did these Trusses allow you to have room to store items in your attic? Are there Trusses available that might be "storage friendly"...versus other Trusses that can be bought? :willy_nil
I appreciate your time and help.

Welcome.

If he used ArmorSeal 1000 HS from Sherwin Williams, it shouldn't have lifted unless the floor wasn't properly prepared. I have the same stuff on my floor.

I went with engineered trusses, but because of my roof design there was limited space, so I went without "storage" up top. The HVAC ate up a lot of the space in the attic. I'm left with a little space to put stuff up there.

You can have trusses designed to fit your needs, it just might cost more.

Storage trusses were only slightly more expensive than scissor trusses ( I bought some of each) when I bought mine. Talk to the designer at a truss plant. If you can't find a plant in the phone book, check with a lumber yard or Lowes or HD customer service. They'll point you in the right direction.
My storage trusses span 24 ft, with a 6:12 pitch. I have a storage bin above the doors that is approx 7' wide, 4.5' tall. Should be just enough for what I want to do.
