Hi everyone, I live in British Columbia Canada just outside of Vancouver.
I was searching around for plans for a shop in my back yard and found this site.
Looks like lots of great information. I will be building a shop at home as my friend has moved to Alberta and is selling his shop and house...
I have 1/4 acre so size isn't too much of a worrie but I'm thinking around 30 x 30 ???
A couple questions off the top would be location, I have a long lot but not crazy wide. I do have great access down the side of my house. I back onto a farm (corn field) so should I put it near the house or at the back of the lot??? Pro's and con's??? I want a man cave so would you put a small second floor or just set a space in the corner. I love to work on 4x4's so a hoist will be going in how high on a ceiling and door... 10' ceiling 8'door??? I will have other questions for sure but that will get me started...
