Hey members, just thought I'd introduce myself before I go posting all over the forum. I've been researching 2 post lifts and stumbled on GJ, great source of information here. I'm leaning towards buying a Triumph c-7000 or maxjax because of the mobility. I'm looking forward to being consumed with all the topics and information available here.

Nick: i hope you are able to fix that blown SS. when i move in a few years and build a bigger shop/garage the Max Jax is on the top of the list. it seems to be around the right size for everything except commercial vehicles which i'll probably not work on and the members here don't seem to have a bad word to say about it.

LOL username “blown” meaning supercharged….not blown as in blown up engine thank god. I have a supercharged ’71 Chevelle SS cranking out around 725hp on 16-17 lbs of boost. My daily is a supercharged Cadillac CTS-V. As the saying goes..”Nitrous is nice, but I’d rather be Blown!”

Nick: nice looking Chevelle SS. so can you drive it on the highway and get more than 3 MPG? i bet you know the local PD guy's first names and family members or do you just race at the track.

just giving you a little GJ humor and i have to say that is a nice looking engine and i'm not a motor guy.

i'm usually hanging in the old tools and now i'm addicted to the garage gallery threads so hope to see a few of your posts and that cool avitar.

That's exactly where it is. Been several names over the years, Lancaster Speedway, DunnTire Raceway, Elegant Builders raceway Park...now back to Lancaster National Speedway. The track almost went under last year but someone signed a new lease agreement and they're doing much needed repairs now. Been drag racing there for 16 years...been going there even longer! ***** its only 1/8th mile but its better than nothing

Greg Smith also has a store in Indianapolis. I'm not sure which one is closer to you. I bought a 10000 pound extra wide extra tall 2 post from them. I had recommendations from 3 guys at work who had the same lift and loved them.

I've researched GregSmith in the past and they don't offer a low ceiling 2 post. They do carry some nice stuff and seems to be priced well. When I move in the future and have the ceiling height I would definitely consider buying from GS.

SS: so when you are driving around town in the Caddy and step on the gas I bet you've got to have a few jaws dropping in awe. it looks like a regular Caddy so any pictures of under the hood for the members?

I'm guessing the SS is quicker by more than a little, but really don't know. is it?

Yeah the SS has about 125 hp on the Caddy. The Chevelle is just savage and raw, it's all or nothing. The Caddy is no slouch and it gets its fair share of kills but is much more tame. It's got a Corsa Sport exhaust and intake.

SS: i'm not sure I've ever owned a car or truck that i could open the hood and not see any dirt, oil or grease anywhere. not even on my 70 Mach 1 with a 428 cobra jet i owned as a 21 year old before i drove it into the ground.

thanks for sharing and your pictures are giving me a whole new motivation to maybe clean up my act and then my engines.
