This is my first post on GJ.
Over the last week or so, I have been doing research for a new tool chest I just happen to come across this forum while doing my research.
I just retired over the last year and I finally started to clean out the garage and get my tools/workbench organized. I have been putting this job off for many years.
Anyway, I want to replace my Craftsman tool boxes with something a little better. I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV, but I have enough tools to be a mechanic. I think collecting tools, especially ones you might never use, has got to be some type of sickness. It seems I cannot pass a yard sale or a Sears tool section without looking and most likely buying something. I would chase a Snap On truck down the street, but I cannot afford to catch it.
As far as the tool box, it appears my best bet is the 13 drawer Harbor Freight model. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a Snap On, Matco, or Mac, but the price seems too steep for someone like me who will basically be storing tools in the box. On a good week, I may go into this box a couple of times a week - if even that much. If someone can talk me out of the Harbor Freight and send me after a big name box , please give me a shout. Even the one's on Craiglist are more than I would like to spend. The average CL price is about $1,800+
I have learned a lot from this forum so far and I am hoping to learn even more.
Keep up with the good opinions and reviews.

p.s. I bought a new Honda Ridgeline and I hate going back to the dealership because I always sneek a peak in the repair area and see all of the top-of-line boxes.
