Hey everyone. I am new to the site. I spend a lot of time lurking. Felt it was time to introduce myself after posting in a thread about my miserable commute home last night.

I am 35, soon to be 36. I live in the northern Baltimore County area of Monkton. I am divorced, ( unfortunately but happily ) and planning to build a little garage/worshop in the near future.

I have a jeep fetish. I currently own a 95 yj, lifted and locked and wheeled on a regular occasion. I also own two projects. 72 CJ6 and a 47 CJ2A. It's a disease I've been told. But I can't help it. The two projects will be restorations. Not modifications.

Based on what I have observed here I will state the following. I drive a 05' f-250 with a 6.0 and a Boss 8' Straight Blade. My current garage situation is at my parents. A simple 22x28 pole building. Fully insulated and heated and A/C. Here at my house I have a simple one car that I shoehorn my jeep into for storage purposes. My two projects are stored at the parents. There is also a 20x20 block barn that houses more jeep parts and one of the projects.

My main goal is my own shop here at my house. Planning something in the 30x40 range. I'd give anything to have all my own **** under one roof.

I stumbled on the Garage Journal on a Google search one day. I have to say it's been a daily hang out for me. Everything from tools, to garage design, to new ideas. Its all been beyond helpful and valuable. I've got to thank everyone who posts here. Your ideas and opinions are always welcome and informative. While I am by no means a garage novice, I will never claim to be an expert. So there is something to be learned everyday!

Pete

Can understand the thing with jeeps... but so long as you don't try to dress it up in frilly underwear it is merely "a deep but ****** interest"... ...:lol_hitti

Seriously though, I feel ya with the "all the stuff under one roof"...

Lots of good advice to be found here on this site... my 2 cents is the most important is "bigger is better" .... seriously, when it comes time to build your garage , build the largest you can afford, you won't go back !!

Being addicted to a vehicle is my passion too...just a different style and color than a jeep!
