Hi,
I live in the Silicon Valley about 35 miles south of San Francisco. Currently, I'm still working, but I hope to retire in a few years. Kids are out of the house and my wife and I live in an old Craftsman home with our Boxer (who thinks he's a lap dog).
We enjoy old motorcycles, cars and trucks. We attand a lot of rallies and car shows. I've got a custom sidecar rig I built about 15 years ago, a 1941 Chevy 1 1/2 ton farm truck (runs) and a 1945 GMC half ton, pick-up truck (project).
My favorite hand tool is an ice pick from the 1939 World's Fair. My favorite power tool is the Scotch deburring wheel on my grinder. I own a few basic Snap-on tools but most are garage sale or flea market finds.
I have suffered with a single car, detached garage for 25 years. I'm planning to tear it down and build a much larger 2 story garage/workshop. I've got a year or two to plan it out before I break ground. Looking forward to getting some good advice here.
