New Guy from North Texas

Hi All,

just stumbled across the board as a link from another site I frequent.

As a southern California native - I'm stuggling to deal with the heat in the North Texas (Flower Mound, TX).

I did get to upgrade from a small 2 car garage in CA to a 3 car in TX...so, that's a bonus - would like to make the best use of my garage possible.

Hobbies include:

DIY stuff around the house...woodwork, mouldings, etc.
Hot rodding (in my garage) a 1965 Chevy Truck

It gets hotter in July and August is the worst month for heat.

My wife and I are moving to Denton, TX in August from the west part of Kentucky. Definitely not looking forward to the heat.

I'm into DIY stuff around the house, either inside or outside.
