So, I figured my first post should be one saying hello to the group. I've been a car audio installer/fabricator since 1991, not all being full time working in the industry. I did put in my final 16 years in the Army during that time and retired in Oct 2012. Soon after getting out I opened another car audio shop in Olympia. I sold that shop a few months ago and am now semi-retired. I do work a few days a week as a custom fabricator at a local shop. Giving up my 5000 sf shop after I sold my store was a bummer. I now have the ok from the misses to convert our 40x40 barn into a work shop. I probably won't start on that until early Spring. I'll be reading a bunch here to get some great ideas. I'll be doing a little bit of car audio work and a WHOLE LOTTA work on the 3 old International Scouts we own.

Welcome to the GJ. I spent (4) years at Ft. Lewis.

Cool. Great area. I was here active duty from 87-90, ETS'd and went to school. I went back in in 1996. Germany from 96-99, and then Fort Campbell from 1999 until 2012 when I retired. Was fortunate enough to stay in the same unit for 13 years. Great stability for my family and I got to have a job full of excitement, getting to do gung-ho, hoah hoah stuff. lol
