New guy from Southern Ontario

Hey everyone I came across this site while looking for information on a new build I'm planning for later this year. I'll be looking around and gathering ideas for that build. Also I' m a tech at a GM dealer and there are a lot of excellent threads that will help me out at work as well. Thanks for having a place like this for shop minded people like me.

What are you planing for a shop?

At my previous house I had a 20'x28' shop that I built when I moved in. At this house I want to build something in the 36'x24' range, I have to go to the city and may need to get a minor variance to get it though. I'm getting some quotes from some local builders now and since the weather hasn't broken yet there isn't much I can do right now as far as preparing the shop location on my property.

Here is a picture of the shop I had built at my old property, it killed me to have to move away from it but work and family priorities took precedence.

I am also in Hamilton - Millgrove actually. Planning on a 36'x48'x12' or 14'
'Detailed Buildings' have quoted me on complete package minus concrete.
Do you have any leads on local guys that i may get a quote from?

I have gotten 1 formal quote, a couple of "it will be about this much" quotes. I have another builder coming to quote the job next week. I can pm you some phone numbers if you'd like.
