Hey all!
Thought I'd introduce myself.
My name is Jake, My wife and our 2 yr old and live in the St. Louis area and just moved into a brand new home. We are in a community that could be termed a “traditional neighborhood development”. That means all streets have sidewalks, the streets are laid out in block pattern (rather than the normal winding subdivision streets) and best of all the garages are detached and facing an alley at the rear of the houses.
I have a 20 x 24 two car garage that is pretty much a blank slate at this point with not even so much as a GDO. I did have the builder install a 100 amp subpanel, but that is it as far as interior “finish” goes.
My intention is to build up the garage as a place to wrench on the two Merkur Scorpios we own, one of which is a daily driver, the other a longer term project. I tend to fall into the “cheap” category, so by default, I DIY almost all the way.
As an added note, I am a product manager for Emerson Motor Company, so if anyone has any electric motor related questions, I can probably help.
I’ll just be hanging around, do a little looking for ideas and prolly asking a few dumb questions along the way.
Jake
