Not exactly new here....I've been lurking since December of '06. Mainly because I am a person of a few words and I have been learning from everyone here on the Forum.

I found this site through the HAMB. I have been into old cars/Hot Rods most of my life and just recently got into Volkswagens. I work out of a one car garage because we live in a town house but I make the best of what I have.

My current projects are a 1950 F-1 Wheelchair Accessible Panel Hot Rod for my 18 y/o son and a 1966 VW Beetle for me. Other smaller recent projects include 2 vintage fire extinguishers [a copper canister type and an aluminum tank].

The Shop fan write up by Ryan got me thinking about getting an old fan for the shop and I just bought two old fans for the garage. A 1950s Tripl-Aire and a 1930s Arctic fan. I'll post up pics as I work on restoring them.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here are a few pics of our projects. The bug is in the body shop right now and will hopefully be done at the end of this month. The F-1 is taking a little longer because the rear floor has to be modified to accommodate my son's wheelchair.

Thank you for replying with the pics.

Very cool projects. The Bug's stance looks just right. Keep us posted with more pics!
