Hello from Houston. I just stumbled upon this site trying to find info on an old Quincy compressor. I have a decent stocked garage (attached) but it needs a massive overhaul once looking at a few pics here. My wife complains she can't park in it so I wish I could build my own garage behind the house.

Thank you and goodnight.

Welcome to GJ, Autometer. My wife has the same distorted concept that a garage is a place to park a car in. :headscrat But since she writes the checks, her car is in and mine sits in the sun.

Be careful here on GJ with the browsing and the mind running wild. Whatever idea you come up with to renovate your garage into the ultimate shop will change several times before its done. But, that's OK because each change is for the better. BTW, We love to follow a project from the 'before' to the 'after' shots.

BTW, I listen on-lne to Legends 97.1 evrey day. Love the classics...

Good Luck on your planning and reno.

Thanks for the welcomes guys. My garage needs a lot of work. I found a few lighting guides on here to get me started. One wall has no power outlets and that happens to be the wall I put most of the stuff I need power like parts cleaner, drill press, grinder. I have a lathe and I had to put it on the wall with the breaker box to run the 230. My garage is wide not deep, there's no room in front for anything. I have to keep stuff left or right.
