Holá from Austin, amigo. Love the 5-window! Can we see some more pics of it?

Sure , a little back ground , the truck was my grandfathers . He bought it in the 50's . I have paperwork back to 58' but have been told he bought it in the early 50's . It is a 49' deluxe . At one time it was a wrecker at his auto garage and even had the beloved shop truck emblems . That was before emblems were cool . I bought it from my uncle in 78 or 79 and it has kinda evolved from there . 350 , Mustang II front , camaro rear , a/c , power windows , tilt . You know the stuff you have to have LOL . Anyway here ya go .

Howdy hotrod 80,

Add me to the list that love your truck, the paint color is beautiful.

Wanted to say howdy because I lived in Baytown during the 1970's and 1980's. Attended Lee College for awhile, then started working at the steel mill out east of town. Worked there until the mill shut down in 1985. My wife was a pharmacist at the old Gulf Coast Hospital on Garth Rd.

Lived just off of 146 just north of town in the Kings Bend subdivision. We didn't like the climate so when we retired we decided to try a different area to live.

(Sorry, getting carried away with old Baytown memories)

Wow, small world . Im less than a mile from your old place . I live just north by the football stadium . I also work right across 146 from kingsbend . The humidity is tough being so close to the bay and the wind being southeast all the time .

Thanks for the compliments on the truck it has been a 6 year project . Im planning on cruising it down to Texas ave for the local spring car show in a couple of weeks . I have 38 miles on the total frame off , nut and bolt resto . The top is a mother of pearl white from the newer Cadillac escalades and the burgandy is a Jaguar color . I may come back later and have a silver metalic pinstrip done by hand to break up the feature line . Still working out some of the smaller bugs that pop up after a total rebuild .

Welcome from your neighbor to the East. I too, love the truck. Maybe I can catch it in person at a car show. I will holler at you then.

Hey sounds great . If you ever get out this way, or vis-versa stop by and say hi . That truck introduces me to lots of people . Thanks for the welcome
