Some of the garage are just unbelievable....

I do not have very good pictures of Garage before I started giving it a face litf. I did find a few that shows the garage about a couple years ago.....there is a lot of cluter...sorry I do not have better pictures... The pictures with the red cabinets are current pictures.

I still have a few things to complete.... additional lighting, plum the sink, coat the floor and other misc. items.

Love the cabinets. Did you make them or buy them?

I bought them from the investment recovery dept of the company I work for....I wished I could have bought a lot more. There were hundreds of them.

The cabinets came out of a lab building that was built in the late 30's early 40's. (building just recently demolished) Cabinets of 40's vintage. The gauge of steel used is unbelievable compared to today's. It actualy takes two people to move one section if the draws and doors are left on. Section is 4 ft long (wide)
Hence the reason the hardware does not match...some of the hardware is solid Brass and the others are Aluminum
I did hower did paint them red, they were green and tan.
I did build the frame that supports the cabinets, I wanted them off the floor and wanted the extra counter height.

I still can not believe how much stuff I've got stored in them. They really cleaned up my garage.

I'm down with that! I recycled old cabinets as well- out of two houses, and an old high school science lab. A little paint goes a long way. The ultimate recycling!

recycling is great!!!!!! and cheap, I only only paid 15 bucks for each cabinet section....sweeeeeeet.
The small cabinet on the end that sticks out a littler further is a card file cabinet that I picked up at a local Habitat for Humanity Restore.....I go there quite often...to donate and buy.

the great thing about recycling is that a alot of times the older material is, or at least, seems to be made much better.

Cabinets are on both sides. detail pictures on link above. IF you only able to see 1 picture let me know, something must have happend to the file, should have been at least 12-15 pics.
The garage is 24 feet wide and the cabinets are 22" deep, that left me with a little more than 20 feet of width to use. I have had the silver corvette and my wife's Tahoe parked at one time, it was a little tight.........the corvette door has to swing out so far just to get ot of it........Tahoe...no problem. Right now I have plenty of room....only the 2 corvettes park in the garage.
