Been lurking a while and finally found reason to join. Here's my question.
What can you tell me about Wright Tool? I have been exclusively using Proto for years but recently came across Wright Tool. There products look nice and seem to be fair priced but I've never seen any up close. Tell me about the quality, fit, finish etc. Thanks

My experience with Wright is with my 3/8" contour handle ratchets and I love those.

The 15 or so years I have been participating in tool forum discussions, Wright has always been highly praised when it comes to quality. Others will hopefully chime in with their experience on individual tools but to me, Proto and Wright both =

Welcome! Wright tool as I see it is one of that last great US made tools that can be had at a reasonable price. Much less than snap on, a little more than US made craftsman was. The quality is better than US craftsman in my opinion, and pretty close to snap on. Like I said, this is how I see it.

My only Wright tool at the moment is a 3/8 breaker bar (flex handle) that I rescued from a pile of rusty tools at an antiques shop. Well made, looks good now that it has been cleaned up and given a home. I will buy more as I run across them, no need to buy new at this point for things I already own but good reason to buy used as I collect.

Proto, SK and Wright are really the three premium US tool makers that are similar in quality to truck brands but are not nearly as expensive.

You won't go wrong with Wright. Fit and finish is excellent.

First off welcome to the GJ...

Second you will go ape for wright tools and not because they are made in my home state!
The only bad thing well maybe not so bad is I am not a fan of the split ring locking collar on their ratchets; only because my hands tend to shake making it somewhat harder to remove that split ring; but they make a fantastic ratchet!:rocker:
like others have said made in the U.S.A. and at a decent price with a great warranty.
