New guy here, from MN

As the title says, new here. I am looking to see if some of you members have some info that I will be looking for in the future. I have a second garage attached to the house via the original attached garage. I am wanting to raise the "shop" (second garage) 5' total to accommodate a 2 post overhead lift. I will discuss more in the appropriate threads. Looking forward to learning while here.

BLU: instead of starting threads that might not get seen might i suggest doing a little searching and finding threads talking about the things you want to learn more about. then if you still have questions ask on those threads where the members already have eyes and interest going on those threads.

Blu: if you can't find the threads talking about the item you are looking for sometimes Google search gets some of the threads that the GJ search misses. also now that you have a thread here you can ask just to see if any of us looking in this section might know the answer or know of a thread. you can see that a few of us have a few posts and i know we read a lot of threads we don't post on too.

Hey Bluedge8, I am also new here from MN, a little south of you, Owatonna/Albert Lea area. I have seen a couple of threads of people "lifting" garages, so they are out there. I have not spent much time on them myself because the project doesn't fit what I am doing, but the little I have seen, there is good info on the subject.
