Hello folks,
My wife and I will be closing on our first home this month. With the house I'm getting an attached garage!
Hoping to get some ideas here to insulate and finish it!
It's an attached garage but not finished. Has straight 2x4 studs 16 on center. Has a insulated working garage door electric.
No electricity except the door.
My plans are to insulate the ceiling and walls, then maybe use Sheetrock to finish? Any other ideas except plywood?
Also need ideas on what to use for heating?
Also thinking of just hiring an electrician to bring in a 220 feed into garage, then my father can help me go from there. I want 3 outlets on each wall. I am hoping to build a small shop here and park car as well. So I will need enough juice for saws, compressor, fluorescent lighting, etc etc
Is it good idea to install sub panel? If so for how many amps?
