Hello all. I found out about this forum from another guy on a car forum. I would love to take the time and post all the pics of the construction of my garage but instead I'll post a link to where they can be seen. Hope you enjoy them!

Nice progress report on your new garage. Post some finished photos when your done.
I thought the terrain looked familier to me. I'm a former Virginia'n, up the road in Wmsbg.
I'm in the process of putting in a 3 car detached, but the COLD weather here has everything at a stand still. Can't pour concrete when it's 10 outside and 3 inches of snow.
Miss those mild Va. winters...

I can appreciate alot of what you've went through....... I've been doing mine for the past few months and it's alot of work on all ends. It's in the gallery titled Detached Building Photos and there are five different threads numbers one through five that detail it all. Good luck with it.......... Keith

Nice place Moneypit. What are your plans for the 2nd floor? What sort of heating system are you going to use? I feel your pain on going over the budget. Isn't that the way it always is? Keep the pictures coming....

How big is the garage?

It's 36'x26' with a 10/12 pitch. The room above (excluding the bathroom) is 12'x33'.

I'm not sure about the HVAC. The guy who's going to install it for me was telling me that he won't be able to put in an upstairs unit like in a house because code won't let him due to possibly having exhaust fumes leaking into the system. He got a quote on the equipment for an indipendent, remote control system for the upstairs and downstairs and it was over 5k. :scared: I will probably call the local building inspector and find out what my options are and go from there. Realistically it will be 100% complete within 10 months to a year due to funds and time.
