und this site while searching for reviews/info on Homak chests. I still have my 45 year old Remline chest and cabinet from my years as a professional mechanic, but after 6 job moves and 6 house moves, it is tired. Bottom cabinet drawers sag in the middle, top drawer handles are falling off one at a time. I think the Homak will work for me since these days I only fix my own and family vehicles, plus I buy, rehab and sell boats, motors and trailers. My garage is a hot mess right now since all of my girlfriend's stuff is out there since she moved in. We are whittling away on it, I built my own garage, every nail, board and shingle. 26' x 28' with a 12' clearance from the ground to the joists. Top level is wide open as I used engineered joists and made my own rafters rather than trussing it. Lots of space. 60 fishing rods stuffed in the corner, 7 dozen duck and goose decoys in the other corner, 5 tackle boxes piled up next to the tool box. In addition, when the house was built 12 years go my dirt guy never hooked the garage foundation drain to the house foundation drain, so the floor is heaved, cracked, and just a mess. Unfortunately he passed in the years since so I have no recourse. My girlfriend is a very good wood worker and is going to build me a new bench since the other one got tossed ( long story, saved for a different post). She is currently building me a 24 fishing rod rack for the garage, she and I designed it freehand, and if it works as well as we think it will, she will build another. As I am currently disabled with a breathing issue I don't get much time in the garage on days like this when it is -18 degrees in the morning. Got a 1976 CJ5 in there that I am fixing up one part at a time. Got a stick welder and a wire feed. Got torches. Got tools out the ying yang. GF is very handy and she also came with tools, mostly wood working tools. We are still trying to meld the two collections and save some space in the garage for projects. Looking forward to spending some time on this forum. I have been a lurker for a month or two and decided to sign up. Throbbin Rods is the name of my Grady White fishing boat. We all want to see the rods throbbing back there, right? I hunt deer, turkey, grouse and mostly waterfowl. I fish for trout and salmon. Guess this got a little long winded, I will post pics of the new boxes filled up with tools when I finally pull the trigger
