Hello,
I have finally joined this site after years of reading posts. 2 years ago, I finally realized a long-time dream of mine to own my very own detached garage. My wife and I hit the jackpot in finding our dream home which just happened to have a 2 car attached AND a 2 car detached garage. I always expected to have to build a garage after buying a home so this was a MAJOR bonus for me.
It's not the monster-sized garage I always had in my head but it's still a very good size and it's in great shape. It's a 2 car, about 24x24 with a 12 foot ceiling, insulated with full power and lighting and no posts. I'm still in the process of setting it up exactly how I want but it's mostly there and I am loving every minute of it. So far, I've got my workbenches set up, most of my tools organized, a pc with sound system.
It has a water line that I will hook up to a sink in time. I am currently looking into heating/cooling options and then a lift will follow.
