Hello all,
Long time lurker, first time poster from the great Pacific Northwest.
I am in the process of building a 960 sq ft garage behind my new-to-me old house. It will have 14-ft ceilings to accommodate an automotive lift, and a mechanical room for my air compressor, sandblast cabinet, backup generator, and other noisy/dirty stuff. Size and layout was determined by lot constraints, and I had to endure month after month of permitting delays, but I now have permit in hand and a contract signed with the builder to build a water-tight shell, which I'll then finish out myself with help from friends. This will be my toybox for my hot rod builds.
The photos below show the site. The truck is sitting along what will be the east wall where the garage door will be. Should break ground this month.
