Hello,

My name is Dave and last month my wife and I moved from a residential development to a 15 acre horse farm. This is my first time caring for a property of this size.

The house has a standard two-car garage, but the "real" garage is a 36x80 pole building with metal roof and sides. It's mostly a gravel floor with an area of concrete pad.

I'm a mechanical engineer but I have precious little experience with construction, electrical, or carpentry. So I'm sure I'll be relying on a lot of knowledge here. You WILL see me posting threads. I'm not dumb but some of my questions will be. :wtf:

I don't expect to make a garage mahal but I do expect to make it better than it is now in terms of lighting, flooring, ventilation, tools, and workspace. The back half is sure to be filled with hay for the horses but the rest is my choosing.

Dave

Just you wait - as an engineer I have a bright imagination to worry about things nobody else ever thinks of.

Welcome from another PA guy!

Don't worry. Around here many people like to discuss "things nobody else ever thinks of" down to the finest detail.
You'll fit in fine.
