Great looking garage. I'm going to start a garage project this year. How well does the floor heat work with the water heater set at 90? Does it warm the whole garage? My plan is for a 24x30 with a second floor and I have been looking into radiant floor heat. Thanks. Dave

Newbie here, forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what causes the water to circulate? Do you have a small inline pump of some sort?

Yes, it heats the entire garage with no cold spots. Radiant heat warms the floor and is so much more comfortable than any other heat.
I run the temp just above the lowest setting which is around 100 degrees.
When it gets warmer out I have a manual ball valve between the supply and return lines. When it gets warmer I just open it some depending on temp.
Usually the indoor temp stays right around 68 degrees.
I wish the boiler was a little more efficient but for now it works okay. I think a 75-100 gallon would be more efficient.
If you're doing both floors with radiant you'll need a regular boiler for that.

Great design, love the upstairs ! Could you post pic of the back?
Rich

The back is nothing special, 4 windows and a door.
I'll try to get a pic for you though.

It has a Taco circulator pump in line.

How do you get to the second floor? Are some stairs going to go in that open spot in the cieling? Or are there exterior stairs? That site you got your plans from has some great looking stuff. Great Garage by the way!

I'll post some new pics. I have the stairs in and framed around them. Still have to install the doors.

Great looking garage. Shows lots of thought. What is the exterior siding? Vinyl or???

The siding is vinyl, I didn't want to have any maintanence.
My house has clapboard and cedar shakes and that's too much with painting as it is.
