Hi.
Thanks for the great information. I like to fix things, especially discarded and ugly motorcycles. Single-cylinder and old are my favorites, especially the ones that are free.
And, I'm always looking for new project bikes.

Welcome! Being that you are from Alabama and like old motorcycles the Barber Museum must be one of your hangouts. It is by far my favorite museum although I have not seen the recently finished new addition. I plan to schedule visit in the near future.

Several years ago one of the guys on the bowling league would buy old broken down motorcycles and repair them. He would tear them apart, repair whatever needed it, then paint everything or have it chromed. Once repaired he would ride them for a short while, then sell them. I don't think he made any money doing it, probably lost money, but he sure had a great time doing it. Rebuilding motorcycles was pretty much all he would talk about. He retired and moved down south, not sure just where, and is most likely still working on old motorcycles. Really cool guy, I miss talking to him.

Welcome aboard.

I like the singles. While not old, the KTM singles are stout.

Welcome, a great place to be here, lots of advice, and sources of parts and information. I also enjoy greasy old motorcycle parts, but not what would necessarily be considered valuable like a 1936 EL, 1949 Hydra-Glide, BSA Gold Star, or other old crock. I do like the Yamaha VMax, and have a stockpile of stuff awaiting the time to work on it.

So, show us some pics of what occupied you.

Welcome from East Texas! I have 2 you can have free! Hondamatic and a Yamaha. Both ran but had front end collisions and were eaten by weeds and Texas sun for 10 years.

You know we need pictures and stuff!
