finally decided to join this site being so many of my internet searches sent me here. i am a confessed lifelong serial tool junkie and often end up searching for country of origin on tools before i buy them. it's getting harder and harder to find quality tooling. the most recent thing i was looking into is the Lenox 4012 hacksaw which is the best hacksaw frame i've ever used. i have three of them but was looking for another for a road box and it now looks that like so many other things they're being made in china which means it either won't work right out of the package or shortly thereafter. seems that the searches that led me here people often look to be like minded when it comes to identifying tooling. here's a before and after shot of one of the machines i redid for the shop.

Welcome to GJ! I'm an auto technician & I've found there's a wealth of info from the members here. Seems like there's every discipline from aerospace engineers to backyard mechanics represented here in the membership. Ask away!
