Hello everyone

Been reading the site now for a couple months but have always had trouble loggin in. Well I finally got that problem solved and figure it was time to introduce myself. I am 24 years old and work as a Paramedic in Northern Ontario Canada. Been working for about 3 and half years now and have also been a fire fighter for about 5 years.

I recently just purchased my first house, actually took ownership of it holloween night. My main criteria when shopping for a house was that it either had a garage or had room to build. I was lucky enough to find a house with 24x24 detached garage. Not as big as I always wanted but good enough and probably all I need. The garage will be primarly used for woodworking and some small auto stuff. Right now the interior of the garage is just plain unpainted OSB with along work bench, but once I get some nice weather I am going to completely redo the interior the way I want it setup. Unfortunatly about a week after we got the house, this horrible cold white stuff fell from the sky and has stuck around so I havent been able to do much in the way of renos.

This website is great!! I have got many good ideas already and I am sure I will get many more before my garage is done.

They are never good enough and certainly never big enough:lol_hitti

Nice looking place though what can be seen under the white stuff. Show some more pics if you got them. On here you have to feed the need.:bounce:

I'll snap some interior shots today if I get a chance, but right now it is a disaster. Still in that moving in stage, tools are all over the place, empty boxes, full boxes, and the 4 wheelers are just stuck in there.I should be getting a pellet wood stove for in there sometime this weekend and hopefully get it installed as well which will allow to start my renos alittle earlier then expect.

Yes there is, there is a smaller 2 car driveway off of the side street. However due to the layout of hte street and the driveway I am not able to plow it out using my 4 wheeler. So it has been full of snow untill about 5 minutes after spending about two hours with a snowblower cleaning it out. We havent had a winter like this in years. Born and raised in Northern Ontario and I love it here... But I HATE winter lol.

That a good idea, a tunnel from the garage to the basement of the house... hmm now how could I pull that off..:headscrat

Nice looking place. How old is the house and the garage. I'm guessing the house is quite a bit older than the garage.

From what I have been told by the previous owners the garage is roughly 15 years old and the house is much older, no one is really sure actually how old it is. The previous owners lived in it for 44 years. Given the history of the town I would have to 1930ish, but the inside is very modern and up to date with all the utilities beening recently redone.

Find member Utah997 thread regarding his carhole. It has to be the coolest on here.
