Hi all. Great site and awesome garages you people have!! What seems to be the most affordable type of building? Stick built, pole barn, all metal........etc...? I'm looking to build a 60 x 36 or so and want to be careful on how I do this, because I know me and I can burn up some money on a garage if not careful........LOL Any thoughts? I got an estimate from Morton, but it was almost 70K (concrete and labor included), but there is no way I can do that. Thanks, Brad

I would say a pole barn you build yourself would be the cheapest. I built a 40x60 for $5000.00 about 7 or 8 years ago from a kit that a local lumber yard sold. You can build the building then pour the concrete without having to form up a slab. I also built a 28x36 metal frame building a few years ago. Had a company come put up the metal roof for about $3500.00 and I did the rest. You can also build that type without having to form up a whole slab. Just enclose 3 sides of the building, form up one end, and pour the concrete.
