First post here - I've learned a bunch lurking so far. I picked up this cabinet today off Craigslist for $175. It's a 1967 KRA-300B, which happens to be the same vintage as me. It has a little rust near the bottom and needs a good cleaning.

There was a nice surprise in the bottom drawer, too...

Nice classic box. You got one of the good ones with the chrome trim and a full complement of drawers. Mine has an open **** catch space where your three bottom drawers reside.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone.

Great box, you ****, and what are the dimensions?

It's 39" floor to top, 33 wide and 19 deep. From looking at the catalog, it has the additional 3 drawer expansion and the light fixture options added.

Did you get this from Madison,WI craigslist?

Yes. It was listed earlier in December, but I figured it got snatched up. When it was posted again this week, I jumped on it.

Will you sell me the Snap-On catalog?

Sorry, I'm going to hold on to it - it's pretty cool.

From the price list, the Rolla-Bench was $233.37 in 1967, the light fixture was $11.37, and the extra drawers were $32.63. The whole set is listed at 211 lbs. Looking at inflation calculators, $277 in '67 was about $1800 today.

I spent some time cleaning up the box last week when the weather was warmer. I found more GM service guides from the mid-to-late '60s under the bottom drawer. It had a sticker from a garage in Daytona Beach on it, which after googling it, turns out to be a somewhat famous place...

That pretty sweet. I don't need one but for some reason I am really starting to get a want for a porta bench. If you want another one, there is one on craiglist in New Berlin for $250, no pic. I thought about calling but I have better thing to spend money right now.
