Hi all....I didnt see an introduction forum, so I'll just do it all at once. Im into cars, of course, and have a decent size workshop/garge already. Trouble is I dont have a garage for my daily drivers. So Im building what started out to be a pole type garage, but because the posts were installed so crooked, we cut them down and went with a frame style. Its 24x32, 10 foot walls, and has two 12 foot doors in front and one 10 footer in the rear. I purposely did not put in any windows. It is detached from the house but close enough that I wanted it to match it so I put the same metal color roof on it and will be finishing it in white vynil siding like the house. I still havent decided on what to do with the floor and that is why Im here. Im doing my research before laying down a floor cover. Here's some pics of my progress....

before realizing the poles were way out of plumb....

Welcome aboard,
What happened to the posts? It looks like the were out of plumb, and bowed. Did they sit for a while laying on the ground or something?
Looks like a nice new garage you got there. Check out the different sections for info on finishing the interior if that's your plan. Use the search to find things, many questions have already been answered many times.

Thanks! Yeah, I have been searching and reading a lot of posts here. Lotsa good info! I dont really know how they got so out of plumb....I guess the guy installing them just didnt take his time. Plus, he didnt charge me to install them (I supplied the posts) so I guess you get what you pay for!...lol...

Nice build. Qustion about the post, Did you use the KDAT post? (Kiln dried after treatment.) They tend to be a better for this use and dont bend as much since they are dry.

Current progress on my garage. Doors will be installed next week. Still shoping for the best price. I hate to think how much the driveway is gonna cost!

Making good progress!!! From the existing driveway shouldn't be too much of an expense to add on a nice pad there.
