Hello everyone,
I'm building a 24x30 garage in my backyard for storage, work area, micro, refrig, and store my 67 Plymouth Barracuda. Plan on having a sink, central heat and air, 20' garage door and brick veneer. I just got the footing poured and the block mason has me set up for the near future. I have been in construction for over 15yrs and plan on framing it myself using trusses. I will be hanging around for awhile trying to find out the latest and greatest things that I might need to keep in mind as I go along.

Welcome to GJ, mully. Would love to see the Cuda.

Sounds like a nice shop. Be carefull hanging around here too long. Garage plans have been know to morph into something something awesome and spectacular, but not what was first planned. I'm sure you will find plenty of ideas here. As for that 20' garage door, is that wide or high? Either way, it may be more than needed and more expensive. A standard off-the-shelf door is usually 16' wide. 20' are available, but usually at a premium.

Good Luck with your project.

We can change those plans, ya know... Without even trying.

Just hang around and you'll see.

Welcome aboard!
