Hey there, my name is Shawn and I'm from central Maryland. I'm a mechanic by trade, and a car guy. I have a bit of hobby ADD, so my interests shift and my money runs thin before finishing most of my projects.

I registered a little while ago and have been lurking. The threads on here are very inspiring and the amount of knowledge and ingenuity is impressive.

Hopefully soon I will start becoming a useful member of this forum!

Welcome Shawn!

What kind of cars do you like/ have?

I am also a mechanic by trade (although I abandoned it as my main income long ago).

LOTS of good info here as you have probably already noticed...

I'm into almost anything with wheels. My daily driver is a 2013 Scion FRS, and the project is a 97 Trans Am. Previously I've had five 87-88 Thunderbirds, three of which were Turbo Coupes, an 86 Mustang GT vert, two Shelby Chargers, a 600se and a Plymouth Scamp. I'm kinda looking around for my next car, but I'm way too indecisive and like way too many things.

Being a mechanic is the best and worst decisions I've made. It takes away the desire to go thrash in the garage, but it has landed me my job at UPS and pretty much everything I have.

I love this forum so far. At my age (32), I'm at the point where I'm starting to take on more "adult" projects, and this place is full of all of the information you could ever need. I almost feel like that 10 year old kid hanging around dad and his friends and just listening to the talks about fixing and building things around the house.
