New hammer?

Hey guys, I have plenty of hammers already, but I was thinking of getting something smaller for bearing/seal work. I use a 16oz Snap-On brass and 32oz Craftsman dual softface deadblow for much of the lighter work, was thinking about getting the Snap-On 16oz softface deadblow when my dealer comes by our plant next week. What are your opinions on this hammer? Thanks!

I'm getting one for the same reasons. I have the big ones already. When I got my first one I found out quick fast what all the fuss was about for a hundred dollar hammer.

Any moment someone will chime in saying all Snap On hammers are made by Trusty Cook but They're not. The Snap On soft face dead blows and the ball peen dead blows are very good. They have strong resistance to chemicals, oils and solvents which mine always seem to be laying in a puddle of. They are very forgiving to missed strikes and using the end of the handle to bump and nudge things. They deliver excellent power due to their design and are easy to hold on to when wet or oily. I can get about ten or so years out of one in this environment before something breaks off it then it gets warrantied. But I do have a few that haven't ever been warrantied.

Personally, for seal/bearing/race work which I do a lot of I use an HBBD8 Snap On 8oz ball peen and the Snap On 16oz and 32oz bronze hammers.

Excellent, it looks like it is a go for me then, to add to my other Snap-On hammers. Im going to check out Lixie just for the fun of it though.
