Oh man, I wish we had HF in Canada. I'm tempted to go buy two of these and bring them back but worried about getting nailed at the border with taxes

I looked into this a while ago regarding a Montezuma box. It *should* cost you 6% duty at the border, and applicable provincial tax.

I saw one of these in person a couple of weeks ago. In the store Katy TX, tag showed 1200

I look every time I go in there and this is the first time they had one. I am not sure if there was more than one, I was in a hurry.

I haven't been to HF in a few months. I wonder if they have them in the stores now. My only concern would be the depth. On something that big I would want close to 30".

The manager of my local HF says some stores get to stock them and some don't. It's corporate's decision and they don't ask for the manager's input.

He was pissed that HF wouldn't send them any. He said he already had a waiting list if they ever let that store have them.

I just picked the box up tonight!

$870 out the door! And which I was able to use my 25% off coupon on it even though it's not supposed to be eligible on them!

I just got it home and unboxed..

Man I'm glad that I got this thing! It's very cold out so the drawers were a tad slow.. So I sprayed some WD-40 in the rails and talk about smooth!

I'll take some good pics tomorrow and post it up! For some reason it's not allowing me to add from my phone

Have had mine about a year. Full time use in a Diesel truck shop. Have not had a single problem. Love it.

i went to mine and asked what is the deal with not being able to pick up at the store. The manager stated that some of the harbor freights have loading docks and some don't. the ones that don't have a loading dock are not able to get the box to sell at the store. He said that is due to moving *** to may times and possible damage to the box during moving it. The one that is in my city doesn't have a loading dock and is new and still can't get it in store. He did state that the sipping was reasonable and he thought it was about $140 in our area that was with the lift gate. He said that he gave a information slip to fill out and he had to call them for availability and with your information. He said that they got back to you in about a day or two. You then paid for the box and shipping.
I think that I will check in Dallas. Where they may have a dock for receiving. The other thing is, I want to see the box in person and not be hassled with a box that may be damaged on some way and delivered by freight.

I think its more about where the closest shipping port is...... but who knows. It may be computer generated inventory management.

mine had one, no loading dock. tried to buy it, no dice. there was a sticker on it saying special order. the manager said they cannot sell the floor model. 2 weeks later, they have no floor model.

flimsy slides, drawers had a lot of side to side play, trim was falling off the one I looked at.

hadn't been in HF for a while, got bored and went into HF to remind me why I don't go into HF.

Iv looked at the 72in and it wasn't that bad. For $800 I'd buy it if needed a box. Wonder if they will ever make a topper for it. At $1000 its less attractive to me for some reason lol

flimsy slides compared to snap on or matco, but the best china has to offer as far as roller bearing. the 56 and the 72 do have some side to side play when empty. when loaded down its not that bad, but its still there. again, not a snap on box.

post up some pics of your toolbox. probably a internet hypocrite
