They had a soft opening for the new store in San Jose CA. I stopped by and picked up a few small tool and a new bike stand I had my eye on. I'll updated the pass/fail thread once I assemble and try out the bike stand.

I have my eye on a few more things to buy like a jack and some storage stuff. The store had a ton of employees in there and lots of people looking even though it wasn't advertised.

Only thing that surprised me was how the store smelled so strongly due to the new paint and all the packaging and products off-gassing! :shocking:

It is indeed at 5241 Stevens Creek Blvd at the intersection of Lawrence.
No opening specials yet as it didn't have an official opening yet. They did honor my 20% coupon. I forgot to bring some of the coupons for the free stuff they give away so I'll have to bring em next time.

I am looking for a floor jack and thinking about the metal workbench.......

Having a HF local is very nice. Before I found my diamond in the ruff Matco box, I was going to buy their 56" cabinet. Cool thing was, I had a store local and could have just ordered it there without paying any shipping costs. You just prepay, and they add it to the next inventory truck. Otherwise it's $125 to ship the damn thing. I may still pick one up in the Spring.

Stopped by the new store in Santa Clara today at lunch and picked up a few things.

Store is very nice, well organized, helpful staff as well.

I guess the smell of new paint/rubber/plastic has dissipated by now, I didn't notice any...

I sent an email asking if they were going to put anymore in the state other that right in Minneapolis/St. Paul. It's over an hour and a half to my local store. They said they would send my request to the proper channels, we'll see what happen I guess.

Just came back from the new HF in San Jose; Big store and very clean; things are very well laid out. I bought a 24" breaker bar, red rubber jack pad, and a lumbar support belt. Also got my free LED flashlight .. now I have about 15 of those little lights :)

I need to go back and get my free LED flashlight too! Especially now that the smell has died down.
I have no idea if it is bigger than most since this is the first one I have been too.
