This site has been very helpful. I have someone building a 26X26 garage for me. My attached a garage is the same size but even with a lift I was running out of room for the "toy" cars.

One question--my contractor has in the plans a 15000 BTU heat pump for a/c and heating . It just sounds small to me even though 26X26 is not a huge garage. Thoughts?

It also looks like I may go with the Lowes Epoxy product after reading here.:)

Don't know where you are, but I'm in central Florida. I have a 12,000 BTU through-the-wall unit in my 28x28 concrete block, R-30 in the ceiling garage. In the summertime, it could keep the place cool if I turned it on first thing in the morning, but if I waited until later in the day, it couldn't cool it down. I haven't tried the heat yet, although it's cold enough for that these days. Keep in mind that this isn't a house. You have a big-*** garage door that leaks air. If you have to remove a vehicle, you've lost a lot of cold/heat. If you are using a split system, you might think bigger.

Just my $0.02 worth.
