Hello all. Great site! I finally joined after browsing here many times.

My name is Nathan. Im a small business owner, running a small automotive performance shop out of a 3 car garage. My wife and I have just purchased an acreage with a 40X80 pole building. I will be turning a 32x40 section of it into a shop.

What Im looking for are some referrals for some of the work. Here are the things I will be needing done.

Concrete flooring with radiant heating. Probably electric boiler.

Concrete polishing and sealing. Unless I decide epoxy is right for me.

Spray foam insulation. 1" in the walls, I dont know about the ceiling.

Electrical- It has some lights and I could do it myself, except the state of MN doesnt allow it.

Im just south of Lakeville in Eureka Township, if anyone can help point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Did you check with the township first? Eureka Township does not permit non-ag related businesses. Just trying to save you some trouble down the road.

I live in MN and you can do your own electrical as long as you own the house and its not a rental property or commercial. You just have to get a permit. I have done it multiple times.

Eureka twp will grant a zoning exeption for some small businesses though. It should not be too tough, since I will not change the look of the current property. (no signs or outside equipement). Thanks for the heads up though.

Good to hear on the electrical.

I'm no help since I'm on the opposite side of town as you... but I'd start with the town hardware store... they always seem to have good recommendations.
