New to garage journal, I've enjoyed reading a lot of different topics on here.

My wife and I moved into our place, after having it built, this past January. The garage is 24x40 with heated floors and a 8x12 utility room.

Something I wish I would have done differently is designed the garage so I would pull in on the short side rather than the long side. The last of the land made it easier to pull in on the long side but I really wish I had done it the other way.

Ooh well, it's still a great garage and I'm just starting to install some shelves. The ceilings are 9' and the bottom of the shelf is 24" from the ceiling, when finished they'll be 4" thick with 1/4" plywood to and bottom.

Thanks, it's a start. I've really been enjoying finally having a garage to go to and get stuff done.

Here's a few more updates. Not much don't this weekend

Started down the 14' section:

And this morning while drinking a cup of Joe I made sure that my wire rope stays worked alright:

Here's the shelves up, didn't have a chance to put the ply wood on top yet.

I have another picture but my slow internet won't let me load it. It's just the other side of the garage has the shelves up.
