Thanks for letting me share. I’m so heartbroken. My father has Parkinson’s and he gave me a Sears Rolling stackable tool chest. It had so many great tools. Unfortunately, we had a fire in the garage that destroyed so much, including the tool chest. We have replacement cost as part of our personal property in our insurance. Anyone know where I can find a similar tool chest? This one was in great shape. I hope I can find another like it. I hope the folks here can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum from Southwestern California. When my Sears Craftsman chest was replaced I found the US General boxes from Harbor Freight fit my needs and budget.

Are you at Fort Lenard Wood?, my wife grew up in Salem, the town that was offered to be the Gateway to "Fort Lost in The Woods" but the town turned away both the Soldiers and the prosperity they later brought to Rolla.

Sorry for your father's situation. The Craftsman chest / cabinet pictured is older, probably vintage 1960s, and you're not going to find the exact model as a replacement. But I'd measure the total drawer area and find something similar in capacity, then just show the insurance adjuster what you found and see what he or she says. They are accustomed to doing this when there's a replacement cost clause in the policy, and the items lost are older and no exact fit is possible - they just look for a comparable model .

And if you're stuck on the Craftsman name because it was your father that gave it to you, you'll find that Lowe's stocks quite a few of their chests and cabinets. The local store to me has them displayed on the floor, but they also have quite a selection online.

I’m about 2.5 hours from there.

I believe I might have 2 of those tops and 4 of those bottom boxes. I can check on Wednesday afternoon. As above those boxes could be restored with a lot of time and elbow grease. Are the drawers functionable?
I'm in Pennsylvania, would be booco bucks to ship. I'll get back to the form Wednesday evening.
