Hi All, I found this site yesterday and had to join after reading so many good posts. I live in the Pacific NW in WA state in a little town called Tenino. We are about 20 minutes SE of the State Capitol of Olympia. I just moved here with my family(wife and 6 kids) about 3 years ago. We built a new house that has a 26x24 garage, but that is not big enough for putting my hotrod project in there. I have been into cars and hotrods since I was about 15 when I was befriended by a guy who did thenm in his garage at home. Now he has his own professional shop. Here he is on the web: www.driveduncan.com My first car was a purple T Roadster in the picture gallery there. When I giot married ans started a family that car was immediately too small. Then more kids and my mechanical interests switched to maintaining and remodelling the family home. Now we are in a bigger house, have all the kids we are going to have and I got back into hotrods again. I am a firm believer that hot rods and cars are a family thing. However there weren't any "normal" cars that would fit all of us together and I didn't want to have to always try to make the decision on who got to ride next in the hot rod. So about a year and a half ago I found and bought a 1956 Chevy short school bus and am working on making it the family cruiser. Here are a couple pics.

So with the size of the vehicle my new garage is too small for it to fit in the doorway. I am now working on doing a shop that will fit the bus and my other daily driver cars that I work on.

I am in the very beginning of planning the building and that brought me here. I will start anew thread elsewhere and ask some questions for advice.

Thanks all and nice to be here.
