Anyone use one of these yet?

I'll stick with DeWalt but I'm curious as to their durability, etc. Looks to be leaps and bounds above their other cordless offerings.

yes i tried the impact.. it *****.. i wanted something small and cheap for work, and thought it might be "something like" my 12v dewalt impact.. not even close.. and by the time you by the impact, an extra battery, and bag to keep it all in, your very close to just buying a dewalt anyway.. dont bother with it. i still have the extra battery somewhere, i brought the impact back the next day..

Doesn't surprise me, but I hope everyone else reads this before they go and try it.

I've had the drill for a few years now, main use is with a sanding pad, sanding bowls/etc on the wood lathe. Noisy, and the chinesium brushes stink bad, but it's held up well.

One solid positive: Ergonomically, it fits my hands perfectly. Like, I pick it up, and a blinding light washes over me, angels start singing....I just wish my M12 tools fit that well.

The only power tool I use from Harbor freight is their low speed mixing drills. Dewalt is 179. The HF is only 40/w coupon. They get abused and tossed. I did buy a chipping hammer from them and its very powerful but its not used on a daily basis. I wouldn't trust anything cordless from them

The impact is really weak, even by its (almost certainly optimistic) rating. It's rated something like 300in-lbs, the 12v Milwaukee is like 1200, and the 18v Milwaukee is like 1600.

I still have the 18v ni-cad impact that I bought there 18 months ago. It still works and holds a charge. Not a power house but it worked.

384 inch pounds is pitiful compared to the M12 impact at 1200.
