Looks very nice indeed looks like you are quite handy. The only thing I would have done different is the raised bed around the tree as it makes the entrance to both garages a little more Restricted and with cars as nice as yours I would want as much room as possible.

I'd worry more about loosing the pine tree in the planter box due to restricting breathing room for the roots. Around here that kills the tree promptly due to asphalt or elevating grade around the trunk. :(

Actually there is a lot more room than it looks. I park my F150 crew cab in that back stall and it's no problem pulling in and out.

The soil line in the planter is the original soil line before the garage. The main tap roots were not even bothered during excavation. I have asphaulted right up to Ponderosa Pines before without any problem. I had to remove 2 of these trees at the back to make room for the foundation. The main tap roots were still going down into the granite after 12 foot of excavation. You wouldn't get away with that on other pines like spruce or juniper because of the shallow root system.

Everybody has the interior signed. Guess I just have to be different. I organized a party with the Carrol Shelby Foundation in which I had 14 other 40th Anniversary GT500s from around the country. The party was at the Shelby plant in Vegas on Nov. 1st 2007. Mr Shelby signed our cars and spent the evening with us. In the Shelby circles this event became known as "The Party of 15". We each donated $1000 to his foundation. We were each given certificates of authenticity commemorating the event also signed by Mr. Shelby.

Thats really cool of him too do that for the Foundation. I find Shelby usually endorses anything these days if he can make a buck on it. Dont get me wrong I think the cars are great but his name is worn out IMHO.

How will it be perserved...:headscrat

Had a clear bra installed over the signature. Remember, it's a garage queen. This car has never been registered or titled. It's never seen rain or snow yet and has 20 miles on the odometer.

Here's a pic of Shelby's signature.

Beautiful, love the way you followed the land and the exterior appearance of the garage. Be interesting to see how it all weathers.

I'm not to far from you, North of Denver (not to far from the Shelby American Museam outside of Boulder), and have a Shelby GT-H convertible myself. Pic was taken up in Loveland pass. :)

Nice GTH. Thanks for the compliments. Exterior is cedar and aspen. Had it on house trim 4 years now and very little upkeep at all. The cedar I keep oiled every couple of years and the aspen has an exterior clear marine varnish and is fine after 4 years so far. Made aspen trim myself so it is sealed on all sides before installation.

Have you joined the "Colo Shelby Breakfast Club"? http://www.shelbybreakfastclub.org/
They have some good gettogethers regularly.
