Yes,Toby's ?
At this point I'm think it's a shotgun and backhoeYou have your laser and string lines out yet?
He gets cranky when he can’t use his big level. Can’t believe it, took my skateboard by John’s yesterday and John said no, no, no.![]()

They're snapping chalk lines for their screws. They did end up squaring and plumbing everything up.Dang John, I’m looking at the screw spacing and it finally looks like you might have run across some guys that actually know their trade. Everything looks great, nice and straight and no footprints walking up the side of the building. Damn shame they wouldn’t play ball with the doors but it might be in conflict with their contract too.
If you look back you might remember that the slab was poured 7" bigger than the building dimensions to create a 1.5" high by 3.5" wide step to prevent water intrusion. The flashing they installed at the bottom of siding is more cosmetic.Hope this question isn’t a thorn. I thought you were going to do a Z flashing detail at the plate and slab edge. I know you raised it intentionally to mitigate water intrusion but thought you brought this up before. Just wondering

I see the rat guard at the bottom edge, but no flashing to direct water running down the wall over the outside edge of the foundation? That’s cool and have no doubt it’s flashed perfectly. But I was referring to between the wall sheets / bottom plate and over the pad edge. Or did they seal the plate before they anchored it down?
Ya that's the gist of what I was trying to get across last night. I know this detail gets discussed in almost every "versatube" type design build here, but I thought it was brought up early on in this thread too.I see the rat guard at the bottom edge, but no flashing to direct water down the wall over the outside edge of the foundation?

Looks like a matching compressor shed…They finished by about 1:30 yesterday. I asked about the leftover large pieces of siding. They said it goes to the dump. I told them I'd make a pile they could leave behind. I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up . Here are a few pics of the building (and my siding reserve).
Garage doors scheduled for Tuesday. Want to be buttoned up ASAP.
