Electricians showed up yesterday. They pulled 110' of wire, then thanked me for having the 2" conduit in place with only one bend.
They installed a meter box, 42 space panel, one receptacle, one circuit for the 3 garage door openers, and one switched receptacle for a ceiling light (minimum to get my inspection, then I'll do more as things progress).
Ran into a hiccup when the inspector showed up. Someone at the electrician office applied for a 'service replacement' permit instead of a 'new service' permit. They need to re-apply , re-inspect before the power company will come out to hook me up.
I decided to hang one of the 9 high bay LED UFO lights I bought for the garage area. WOW, these put out a ton of light ! I might only need 6 of them.

Let there be light!
That's looking like it's going to be a really nice space.

I put six of the high bay lights- mix of 100 and 150W and all 4000K- to replace three old 4' flourescent tube light in my 3-car garage; 10 ceiling- they really brighten it up. Going to add 2 more (150 W) to eliminate shadows over my two benches. My wife says it already looks like an operating room. Her eyes are probably a lot better than mine. I bought them all from Amazon Warehouse-

Good progress John! How many lumens are those lights putting out? I was planning on using 6 units that put out 28k lumens but have scaled back my plan to 5 for now.

Power company showed up today and hooked me up (no extension cord to the light !
) . Now I don't have to drag my 100' extension cord from the shed.
Made some progress on the back wall today (last wall to be framed out). Lots of up and down the scaffolding.
And the garage door weatherstripping showed up today ! They sent out a sacrificial installer. Not the best job, but I'm tired of dealing with Overhead Door, I'll fix it myself.
