New homie from Hampton Roads

Howdy y'all.

I guess I'll post in here first. I'm Shawn, living in Portsmouth and closing on a house in Suffolk in...4 days (20x28 detached and a 14x21 attached...GIGGITY).

I like long walks on the beach, boxers (the dog, not the people...except Iron Mike), track cars (twisty mainly), and lifting weights.

what part of Suffolk you venturing to ?? I have been looking to move to either Suffolk or Back to Chesapeake. Need more room and space...

North Suffolk, right off of 17. Me and the GF just bought a house there. Its an older neighborhood, well kept up, and best part...NO HOA!!!

My parents live in Great Bridge, and I wanted to initially look out that way or Hickory/Southern Chesapeake, but for the money, Suffolk is the way to go. Plus I work in Portsmouth, so its a lot less of a drive (and no toll) to stay on this side of the river.

Shawn: looks like you've already quadrupled your post count in a few days to add to your total from joining and becoming a member 7 years ago. good to hear from you and sorry about teasing you about the short intro.

might i suggest that you put in your location where you live in your GJ profile and while you are in there maybe click on Avitar and download one of your favorite pictures to post up under your handle where my buffalo made out of old rusty tools and parts is. here's a few of the Avitars I've used and i don't change often, but i do change them when i feel like it.

any questions about your new home or what you want to build or do with it just ask.
