Been a while since i posted last. Had a job change and ended up relocating from Redondo Beach, CA to Carlsbad, CA. Not such a bad thing considering I now have a proper 2 car garage that is significantly bigger than my last garage. My project has been somewhat slow, considering it really started back in January/Feb timeframe. Initially I just wanted all my crapup off the floor, which led to my Dad and I building some over head storage...for a grand total of around $150:
Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago, and my wife gave me the go ahead to epoxy the floors and paint. So, I used the Rustoleum Epoxy-Shield kit and got going. My floor wasnt in horrible shape, so I etched it twice on both sides and hit any grease spots with dawn soap as well. With any luck, my prep will have paid off. I ended up doing one side then the other....so took a bit longer than it could have.
Before shot, and proof I actually "work" in my garage!
During:
After:
My only plans from here on out are to:
-Finish the painting of the walls
-Add a bit more lighting
-Install a small work bench/shelf where the desk is and get rid of desk
-Install TV on wall
-Mount speakers
-Clean up left side of garage (looks very messy to me). Maybe install some sort of doors or cover for the overhead storage area.
Suggestions/comments?
