New house = time to elevate my garage game!

Hi everyone, I'm 8Line. I am moving about 30min south of Houston in the next month and have been taking advanrage of this forum and learning what I can. I'll be keen to dive deeper into the gallary as i'll be setting up my new garage soon.

I do not. the dream would be a Wilton bullet vise, but alas I don't have a bench worthy of one.

I recommend a vintage, made in USA, combination vise (with pipe jaws) to get you started. Use as is or clean it up and paint it your favorite team colors or to match your tool chest or ???

When I moved in to my current house nearly 40 years ago, the first thing I built was a good solid work bench.

I’ll keep your info. I might need a vise pinstriped some day.

This is my inspiration. This is a Prentiss swivel back jaw jeweler’s vise made in New York about 100 years ago. Jaws are probably 2 inches wide.

thats a good looking vise. if thats the style of pinstriping youre looking for thats a breeze! I appreciate older well made stuff. dont make em like that anymore
