Well after spending my lunch money for the week

I come home with the snap ring pliers.
The tips are all .070 and .090 and it complements and extends the smaller snap ring tool tips I already own (no use duplicating those sizes for me anyhow)
Sure you can easily pay more for a set with wider assortment of sizes and maybe certain name recognition if you want or if you need them in all sizes, and the Lange sets are really decent IMO the sizes and price.
My buddy also has a reversible type MAC set down at the motorcycle shop
Using the current coupon these average just $5.00 each for the assorted 8 pc configuration. The largest are 9 inches and the smaller ones are 7" so pretty good overall size.
Yup they'll do the job fine.
Thanks to those here that had experiences with them. I did tell the cashier I was opening them immediately to check for defects (such as mentioned earlier) and would return them just as quick if there was
I also took a look at the new Quinn retaining ring piers they had on the rack, not that I need them. Less than $20 similar in design to Channelock's I have had for years and other brands that also use slotted adjustable tips and a reversing switch
