This has been out for a while, plenty of people are having failure. I think there's a thread on here a few months back.

You can get an Astro Pneumatic Goliath set for less than that. That's what I have, from this forum, when they did an even better sale last year.

Weird, because when you actually look for failures, the only thing you find is the one short of it being "broke" in half and half a dozen tooltubers regurgitating it while throwing in their obvious bias.

Agreed, I've only seen the single picture.

Nobody mentioned the Icon impact swivel breaking in the last TTC video either. I normally don't repost stuff like that here, but the lack of it being reposted here made me chuckle. Almost everybody has a preference or bias.

BUT, the Icon locks/latches the cups in place which is really nice. I have a bunch of very worn adapters and a few different C-frames. I think the Astro Goliath kit + the Goliath XL frame probably gives the most capability. I'm pretty good at having 3 or 4 hands, but locking sure would be nice.

I've seen a few now, at least 3 of them where cracked in the middle, not gonna dig em up as I don't care that much. Everyone can spend their money however they want. I bought a nice used snap-on for 250$. someone else mentioned the Astro Pneumatic Goliat, also a great value. Regardless of failures it probably will work out fine for 90% of the jobs most due on here.

^^^ that's because no one cares for icon impact sockets, we have multiple affordable brands to choose from. Most get sunex or Tekton, Pittsburgh hf ect. It's probably the least cared about tool from icon.

That's because it was Icon that failed. LOL 🤣

If snap on had broken, it would have been posted here instantly.
