Well, sitting at work on a Sunday (unpaid) and figure now is as good of time as any to introduce myself.
I live in South Bend, IN and my garage is pretty much dedicated to motorcycles only. I have a 1st gen SV650 that I use for track days, and will be racing with WERA this summer, another SV in parts to build into a street bike, and out in the shed is a 1985 Honda VF500F.
The garage is a 13 x 20 constant work in progress. So far the walls have and ceiling have 2” foam insulation. There’s 10 4’ T12 lights witch is more than enough for my little space. One 7’ main work bench, and another 8’ er that still needs finished. It used to fold up, however after two years, and never folding it once, I’m making it a permanent bench, allowing me to put some shelving above it. The cabinet on the back wall to the left of the bench is for all liquids, oils, cleaners, paint etc. I still need to paint the shelves with bed liner or something to protect from the accidental spill. Also going to put some vents in the sides. The cabinet on the left is for pretty much everything else, and still needs doors. I prefer to have everything hidden behind doors, keeps the look much cleaner, (long way to go). The big, awkward bike work table will hopefully be getting replaced with a lift that I’d like to imbed into the floor.
On the short list of things to do is paint the walls, and cabinets, level, seal, and epoxy the floor, and some better storage.
And of course the required garage pics.
Crappy overall shots
Main bench
Old folding bench, still needs finished, trust me the 2x4 are NOT perminate.
Liquids cabinet
Catchall cabinet
The vice shot. Almost seems required
Track / race bike as it currently sits.
The rest of this is tucked away in the shed, a little projected planed for it.
