New Jack from Sears!

I'll be ordering this 3 ton piece from Sears. Yes I know I could do better, but for 70 dollars its comparable to HF, and alot better looking IMO.

Yea, I saw that one a couple weeks back. Rather have the nice gloss black finish and the craftsman name, even if they are identical. Plus I am assured this one meets or exceeds all standards for 3 tons.

How big is the saddle? I hate the little jacks that have the tiny 2 inch saddle on them... makes it a PITA and the thought of the jack slipping off as your raising the car/truck is always in your mind.

3" mabye pushing 4". To be honest, I measured with my fingers , and Im not to hot and turning that into standard lengths. When I pick it up tomorrow, I will take pictures of it with a ruler for you thought. Its not the biggest saddle (i.e. 5") but its alot bigger than the 2" i have now on the HF.

Those little 2 inch saddle trolley jacks are "useless" and tend to piss me off. I cant imagine trying to jack up a full frame car or an SUV with a trolley jack because the saddle, in most cases, wouldnt fit "around" the frame rails, know what I mean? Besides, they all seem to be the same cheap chinese jack-O'-Death design

Hate to tell you but Ive been doing all my lifting with only 1/2 ton trucks (Tahoes and Avalanches mainly) with the little 2" saddle HF jack special. Granted I am only doing it to raise it to jackstands, and sometimes I am very cautious, but in HF's defense- the jack has preformed flawlessly. I just hate not having a long reach handle that allows for the lowering of the jack.

Figured it was time to get something a little bigger as I am going to be swapping 1 ton axles in underneath, and hopefully , within the next couple of years, the Dmax/ Allison NVG263 combo.

Its a 5" saddle by the way. Preety nice jack for 75 dollars even. Picked it up tonight- came completelly assembled, and is not next to the HF press.

I think those are like an inch shorter... very similar bot not identical
